Ingredients
  • • 500g Switch Mince Meat
  • • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • • 2 Tbsp vegetable butter
  • • 1 large white onion, finely chopped
  • • 2 large carrots, finely chopped
  • • 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
  • • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • • 2 cans (800g) peeled tomatoes, hand crushed
  • • 20g shredded vegan cheese
  • • 20g fresh parsley, chopped

Steps

  • 01/

    Cut the frozen Switch Mince Meat into 3x3 cm cubes.

  • 02/

    Heat olive oil and vegetable butter in a large cooking pot over medium-high heat until butter melts.

  • 03/

    Sauté finely chopped onion, carrots, and celery until soft and slightly caramelized, around 5-8 minutes.

  • 04/

    Add chopped garlic and sauté for a couple more minutes until fragrant.

  • 05/

    Season sautéed vegetables with salt and pepper, then set aside.

  • 06/

    Add Switch Mince Meat to the pot. Season with salt and pepper, cook while breaking up lumps with a wooden spoon. Brown for 6-8 minutes.

  • 07/

    Return sautéed vegetables to the pot, add crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil, then simmer.

  • 08/

    Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes until sauce thickens. Stir frequently.

  • 09/

    Mix in shredded vegan cheese and chopped parsley. Stir well. Adjust seasoning if needed.

  • 10/

    Serve Bolognese sauce with spaghetti pasta.
